The Cost Of Everything And The Value Of Nothing

On sale now on Itunes & CD Baby

The self-produced The Cost Of Everything And The Value Of Nothing (2016, Sower Records) was recorded live on December 19, 2015 at Hidden Tracks Recording Studio, in Omaha, Nebraska. Featuring longtime friends Colin Duckworth (pedal steel, guitars, mandolin), Vern Fergesen (accordion, piano), and Josh Dunwoody (upright bass), the mood is steeped in the old time traditions of folk and American roots music. “Jumping’ River Blues,” “Little Lucy,” and “Nighttime Drifter” highlight Cox’s abilities as a slide guitarist and signature harmonica style while opening track “The Charcoal Grill Song” (written as an open letter to his departed mother) and “Drama Queen” display the songwriter at his lyrical best.

Matt Cox

Six-time Omaha Entertainment and Arts Award winner for Best Country/Americana and Best Blues. The caliber of artist that singer/songwriter Matt Cox has become in the studio and on stage is being widely recognized by a steady growing fanbase. Cox continues to perform across the country as a solo artist, and with an ever-changing lineup of the area’s top talent.
